Quarter of a Century

25

I am so old.

Ok, I know, I know...."I ain't seen nothin' yet" and all that jazz. But it feels like a big deal.

After a few days of slight freaking out (oh my gosh I'm so old!), I started thinking about the last 25 years. And as I have done so, I have been filled with gratitude for the many amazing things I have done, incredible people I have met, and the wonderful lessons I have learned that have helped become...well, me.

So thank you. All of you. Thank you to my family: parents, grandparents, siblings, in-laws, cousins, second cousins, third cousins...you get the idea, for just always loving me and giving me the heritage and history that I enjoy. Thank you to my friends from growing up, thank you to my friends from Idaho, thank you to my friends from the Villa, thank you to my friends from Jacksonville...thank you FRIENDS, for always being there and for the great laughs and amazing memories. Thank you to my not-friends (I don't really have enemies), but to those people who I didn't really get along with, for helping me to learn how to control my temper and better behave myself. Thank you to every teacher I ever had (yes, even Mrs. Balderrama from 10th grade English) for helping me stretch myself, or maybe for sometimes just putting up with me. Thank you to Spencer for finding me and for WAITING for me to get my nonsense together so we could be ridiculously happy for eternity. And thank you to my Savior, Jesus Christ, and my Heavenly Father for the countless blessings and guidance given, and for the peace and joy that I have experienced because of their influence in my life.

I am so very grateful.

So here's to being 25, and bring on the next quarter of a century!
